Welcome to my first stab at a travel blog centered around a trip to India in June 2009. The trip began in the far south of the country in Bangaluru, one of the country’s biggest IT hubs. From there the trip headed almost directly north, with stops on the Goan coast, the metropoli of Mumbai (Bombay) and Dehli, the state of Rajasthan, and finally the Buddhist regioin of Ladakh, in the Himalayas. Leaving India I was struck by the diversity of the culture, the chaos of the day-to-day life, and the incredible warmth and friendliness of the people–I hope the ramblings and photos in the pages of this blog capture some of those impressions.
